This lightly used Jupiter Capital Edition clarinet still has the appearance and firm key action of a new instrument. Pads, corks and springs are in excellent shape. There is just one noticeable spot of plating wear on one of the keys of the lower joint, and the logo is intact. In addition, there are only a few light scratches in the finish of the plastic body. An adjustable thumb rest is a nice addition for growing hands. Although the logo has worn off the mouthpiece, it is most likely a Jupiter. It has some light scratches from the ligature, but is otherwise in very good playing condition. It comes in a Jupiter case that has just a little scuffing on the outside, and a plush interior with some cork grease remains. Included are 3 new reeds, swab and cork grease. This beautiful clarinet is a pre-R13 professional model instrument. Its 49894 serial number indicates that it was made in the early to mid 1950s. It is made of best quality grenadilla wood, designed to serve the professional or advancing student clarinetist. This one is in wonderful, ready-to-play condition, with no cracks in the wood body. There are, however, two small chips on the outside of the first joint near the tenon, and some blemishes in the finish of the bell. These are only cosmetic issues, and don't affect the sound. Two of the tenon corks are new, and pads and springs are in excellent condition. The keys are made of solid German silver, polished to a shine, and the Buffet logo, though faded, is visible on all parts. Although the barrel is a wood Buffet model, it doesn't appear to be original since it looks newer. Note that there is no mouthpiece included. It comes in a very nice Buffet style case that has just a couple of scuff marks on the outside, and a clean plush interior. Included are cork grease, new swab and a reed guard.
